Ηercules 2 is of the best sequel of Disney. I usually try to watch all of the Disney sequels I can, and have certainly been disappointed a few times, but this movie is proof to me that, sometimes, they do a great job! The film briefly gives Hercules' history after defeating Hades for good, in which he marries Meg and revisits his teenage years. In particular, it shows an adolescent Hercules's enrollment and the beginning of his adventures at the Prometheus Academy, a school for gods and mortals, which Hercules supposedly attended during the time when he was training to be a hero with his mentor, the satyr Philoctetes. After the Minotaur wrecks several temples in Athens, Hercules teams up with the Grim Avenger, a superhero who narrates his every move and is really Theseus (Eric Stoltz), a visiting prince who likes Cassandra (and who Adonis and Icarus mutually hate) to stop the beast, and finally Hercules is having trouble dealing with Adonis, so when he mentions it to his father, Zeus tells him to show him who's in charge. Hercules warns it's not that easy, so to prove him wrong, Zeus spends a day as a teenager. In total there are three very nice and funny stories.
I'm not a big fan of these straight to Disney sequels and prequels, but the Hercules TV series was so funny that I thought it wouldn't hurt to see the video. It never left my local video store anyway, so why not.

I admit, I wasn't all that surprised when it turned out to be 3 episodes being told as stories, however the way it was done made me want to throw something at the TV. The idea wasn't THAT horrible and I really enjoyed the episodes themselves, yet there is no excuse for the animation in the between scenes. It was so bad I'd close my eyes and just pretend those parts were a radio program.
The acting was great and the dialogue kept everything pretty well to one story line, but it was obviously thrown together in such a hurry that they didn't even realize very few people would buy it. Just so it is clear that I didn't totally hate this video, I repeat that I really enjoyed the 3 episodes chosen for the tape and the fact that Susan Eagan and Tate Donavan were still in it. This Disney feature includes 3 episodes from the television show 'Hercules' and a new connecting story of Meg (Susan Egan) learning about her muscled hubby's teen past when he was already strong but lacked control. The segments deal with his first day of High School and visits by the Grim Avenger and by his father, Zeus. In the voice cast, the key returnee is Tate Donavan as our Hero. I much prefer the Disney animation of the cartoons of the mid-30s and on, but this work by the TV people is adequate.
Disney's Hercules is a fantasy action platformer in 2D, developed by Eurocom and published by Disney Interactive in 1997. Based on the famous animated movie by Disney, the game was released one week before the film and it was available on the Playstation 1 and PC with Windows 95. The game was appreciated by the press and the public, Hercules is very dynamic and entertaining. The hero can use punches or the sword, but he can also collect power ups that will give him special weapons like lightning or fireball.
There are several bosses to defeat, including the Minotaur, the Harpies, the Hydra, the Gorgon and other monsters of the Greek mythology. There are also three rush levels where Hercules must run and avoid obstacles.
At the end, the hero will have to confront Hades. Hercules was one of the first Windows95 games, and it could generate some problems on modern PCs. The archive you will download is the package prepared by GamesNostalgia.com.
